WAN Miniport Connection- Make it stop!

Recently I've been getting this message about every 3 minutes. Whenever it comes up, my internet pages will not load/reload until I make it go away. it starts with a little window that says:

Connecting through WAN miniport (PPPoE)

Then it goes to this:

I say cancel but it keeps coming back!

I have no idea about WAN and miniports and all that stuff so I'd like a very simple explination

Re: WAN Miniport Connection- Make it stop!

Here is a simple explaination:

The remote server is not responding.

meaning that a server in another location at the other end of your connection....isn't responding.

You'll need to contact your ISP or your network admin for resolution, as the issue is regarding your network and not the computer.

So, how do I do that? Do I contact my internet provider or something?

Well I found what was wrong and fixed it. No contacting needed.  I figured it wasn't the internet itself because we have other computer connected to it without the same problem.
