i installed windows 7 (32) on my compaq presario cq62-215dx but there seems to be a problem with the wireless adapter. the wireless is not active and no icons showing on the task bar. There is a yellow mark on network controller on the device managers dialogue box.
please help me get the wifi to work. thanks

Normally that means the drivers aren't installed for the device.
Please click on that device in the device manager. Click on the details tab. In the Properties window, drop down to the second item on the list (Hardware ID's).
Post the top string of characters you see there. That string of letters and numbers identify the manufacturer of the device and the device model. With that info, we can try to find the appopriate driver for it and you should be all set to go.
Your notebook can have more than one brand of wireless card installed so this is the easiest way to get right to the correct driver.

The device ID string you posted reveals you have the Broadcom wireless N adapter.

You have a Realtek Wireless LAN Adapter. The only drivers on your notebook's support page would be for this one:
