Hi @ANAEJE,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused don’t worry let me help you.

Common Causes of Loud Laptop Noise

  1. Fan or Cooling System
    • Dust or debris can make the fan louder than usual.
    • High CPU usage (e.g., gaming, heavy apps) can cause the fan to spin faster.
  2. Hard Drive (HDD)
    • If your laptop has a mechanical HDD, clicking or grinding noises can indicate wear or failure.
  3. Speakers
    • Sometimes system sounds or alerts can be misinterpreted as mechanical noise.

 Recommended Steps

  1. Check for Dust and Blockages
    • Ensure vents are clear.
    • Use compressed air to clean dust from air vents (do not open the laptop if it’s under warranty).
  2. Monitor CPU Usage
    • Open Task Manager → Processes and check for programs using high CPU.
    • Close unnecessary apps that may cause the fan to work harder.
  3. Check for Hard Drive Issues
    • Run HP PC Hardware Diagnostics:
      • Restart the laptop → press Esc → F2 → select Diagnostics → Hard Drive Test.
  4. Update BIOS and Drivers
    • Outdated BIOS or drivers can sometimes cause fan issues.
    • Visit HP Support → Software & Drivers → Enter your model → Update BIOS and Chipset drivers.
  5. Observe Noise Source
    • Determine if the noise comes from the fan, hard drive, or speakers. This helps HP Support identify the exact issue if service is needed.

I hope this helps.
