Hi @Sameer_Shaikh,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The issue you're describing sounds like backlight bleeding or light leakage, a common problem with LCD screens. It occurs when the display's backlighting is uneven, causing light to "bleed" around the edges or corners of the screen.
Check for Physical Pressure:
- Ensure that there is no pressure on the screen, such as from the laptop lid being tightly closed or external pressure from a case or object.
Adjust Brightness Settings:
- Lower the screen brightness to see if it reduces the visibility of the glow. This can sometimes help mitigate the effect temporarily.
Perform a Display Test:
- Use a tool or a solid-color screen test (e.g., pure black, white, red, green, and blue backgrounds) to verify the extent of the glow. Websites or apps like deadpixelbuddy.com or similar can help.
Update Graphics Drivers:
- Outdated or incorrect display drivers can sometimes exaggerate display issues. Update your graphics drivers from the HP Support website or through the device manager:
- Right-click the Start menu → Device Manager → Expand Display adapters → Right-click on your GPU → Select Update driver.
External Monitor Test:
- Connect your laptop to an external monitor. If the issue doesn’t appear on the external display, it's confirmed to be a hardware problem with your laptop's screen.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
