Am i posting in right section ?  i'm not sure . The site is really complicated and not easy to deal with .

I have my hp scanjet model 3800 , it used to work until suddenly it stoped for unknown reasons.

my attempts : I connect it to a power supply (i tried a couple of diffrent ones) , but it doesn't do anything to show me that its alive , not even a light ...nothing .

my estimation is that something went worng with the power controlling device inside the scanner(whatever that is :smileytongue:), maybe it burned up for some reason .

now , what should i do ?

product serial number if needed : CN764A15CM

Hello,

This forum is actually related to Software.

You are looking for information about a Scanner so please look into the following forum:

http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Scanning-Faxing-and-Copying/bd-p/Scan

Might be a power supply issue just like on this thread:

Hello there,

Im having the same problem here, For no particular reason its not doing anything when i connect it to the pc, but its not a power adaptor problem, I tested it with a voltmeter. Is my scanner dead? Is there anybody out there having or had the same problem and if there is did anyone came to a solution?
