HP OfficeJet 250 Mobile All-in-One Printer

The tab that holds the ink in has broke. I cannot print anything at this time. Seems silly such a small plastic piece can break so easily and render the printer useless. I cannot find a replacement online and hp support cannot help because the warranty expired. Has anyone encountered this and found a solution instead of buying a new printer?
