Hi I'm having a problem with my hp pavilion g7. It's running Windows 8 home 64bit but that's not the biggest issue. It is as though a phantom left arrow key is being pressed all the time. I thought it might be some kind of driver problem, attempted several times to restore to previously saved state but it refused, only occasionally letting me get as far as the password screen. The built-in keyboard does not work at all, and a USB keyboard revealed the left arrow key problem. I removed the built in keyboard entirely, unplugged the ribbon cable, and still a left arrow key that isn't there is being pressed. Therefore I cannot even shut off the keyboard drivers through the device manager because the left arrow key navigates me out of every menu even as it is opened. Please help.

I worked for HP.
