With Color LaserJet Pro M252dw can print documents in black and color, but cannot print photos from Photoshop CS6 or Canon Utilities ZoomBrowserEX. Windows 7, 64 bit, USB cable connected. Have set all necessary printer settings, but when I hit print, it seems to do something but then nothing happens. Any suggestions?
Problem Description and Solution
Under Win7, 64-bit, LAN connected (tried also USB connection), HP Color LaserJet Pro M252dw does not print photos from Photoshop CS6 or HP Photo Creations, but prints Word, Excel and PowerPoint documents in black and/or color.
The latest Driver (HP_LaserJet_M252_Full_Software_and_Drivers_15187.exe) and the latest Firmware (M252_Series_FW_Update-20150716.exe) were then installed. Checked installation with HP Scan and Print Doctor program; everything was ok and test page was printed successfully.
When a jpg photo (tried also different jpg photos) is submitted for printing with Photoshop CS6 or HP Photo Creations, the print job is sent to the printer, the print job starts and then aborts (there is no print job in the queue on the PC left). When manual feed is selected, the request for inserting paper appears briefly in the display and then the print job aborts. Photos from an USB stick inserted on the printer, print fine.
HP Support then installed on a remote basis the HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PostScript (64-bit) driver, but that didn't work either. The HP Universal Print Driver for Windows PCL6 (64-bit) then worked.
The HP Software Support may thus want to analyse this problem with HP_LaserJet_M252_Full_Software_and_Drivers.

Good first step would be to download and reinstall the latest full software solution from HPs support website at Http://support.hp.com. A reinstall will refresh the connections that your PC has with the printer and allow you to send jobs to it again.

Thank you for the suggestion. I did de-install the Color LaserJet Pro M252dw software, downloaded the latest version from http://support.hp.com and installed it. This did not solve the problem. I then used the "HP Print and Scan Doctor program". This program said that it cannot solve the problem and that I must de-install the software. I did this and re-installed the software again. I also changed the USB connection to a LAN connection so that a direct connection to HP is possible. All tests performed by the "HP Print and Scan Doctor program" were successful and the color test page printed correctly, but I still cannot print photos from Photoshop or from HP Photo Creations. The print job starts and in the display of the Color LaserJet printer, the beginning of the manual feed instruction can be seen briefly and then nothing happens. Documents from Word, Excel or PowerPoint print properly in black and/or color.

If the printer works correctly in some applications but not others then the problem lies with the configuration of those applications. You might want to consult with Adobe for ideas on repairing printer connections.
> The print job starts and in the display of the Color LaserJet printer, the beginning of the manual feed instruction can be seen briefly and then nothing happens.
You may have the problem isolated down to how you are configuring your photo jobs. For example the paper size and the paper type might not be matching up with what you currently have configured on your paper trays. Tray one should be a manual feed tray and should be configured to Any Size and Any Type. That way if you send a photo job through as anything other than Letter/Plain the printer will wait for you to load media into the manual feed tray to print it.
I would review the paper settings as the next troubleshooting step and then compare them to what the printer has.
