Graphics Card Compatibility Questions

Hello all, I recently aquired an old HP Pavilion Elite HPE-570t CTO Desktop PC. I also bought a new graphics card hoping that I could plug and play as a few forums have told me that I should not have an issue.

The card that I bought is The Geforce GTX 1050 Ti  4GB. The current specs of my build are as follows: 

OS: Windows 10 

CPU: i7-2600 3.40Ghz 

Ram: 12.0GB DDR3 

Motherboard: Pegatron Corp. Model: 2AB6 Version:1.04 

Bios: AMI Version: 7.11

Current Graphics: ATI AMD Radeon HD 5570 1Gb 

Storage: 250 GB Kingston SSD 

                  1TB Western Digital Passport External 

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Also to make thngs a bit easier if anyone could suggest some motherboards that are compatible with my setup, I would greatly appreciate that. But that is a LAST RESORT!

i'm going to say that based on your AMibios revision that it does not support UEFI as such most newer cards will not work.

MSI is the only maker of video cards that at one point offered a 750TI card that had a bios switch on the card which allowed you to select UEFI or Legacy bios compatability.  this model is the only one that might work

the only other solution is to use a nvidia 6xxx series card  allmost all of which have legacy only bios

In response to this, can you suggest to me a motherboard that support the GPU that i would like to upgrade to?

any system/motherboard made after 2013 (ami bios 8. something) should be compatable with current video cards

note that many HP and other OEM systems use cases that no longer have a rear I/O plate as a removable item due to the

mfgr simply stamping out the nessary ports in the case if your case is like this then a motherboard swap will not work
