I wish I could help you.

The problem is that the processor is not compatible with the workstation's motherboard.

Did you not look at the overview that showed compatible processors?

The processors in the list are compatible and your Intel E8400 is not in the list of compatible processors.

Can you identify your Intel processor?  It will be an Intel Core2 Quad, Duo or an Intel Pentium processor.   There is no processor as you have described in the compatibility list.

The processors that your motherboard can be upgraded to are on page 4 of the following overview of your workstation.

No. I do not know where you are getting that "intel core 2 qaud 3.0 6m"  from.

The following processors only.

  • Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 (Quad-Core3 2.40-GHz, 2 x 4MB shared L2 cache, 1066 MHz FSB)
  • Intel Core 2 Quad Q6700 (Quad-Core3 2.66-GHz, 2 x 4MB shared L2 cache, 1066 MHz FSB)
  • Intel Core 2 Extreme Processor QX6850 (Quad Core 3.00-GHz, 2 x 4MB shared L2 cache, 1333 MHz FSB)

I was thinking about a different workstation.

SLI does not appear to be supported for your workstation.
