Hey,
have here an HP Prodesk 400 G3 and want to install the Win7 x64 ISO from Microsoft.
Windows Installation ISO is from MSDN. Used the optical drive first -> no USB-Mousesupport
Have created a USB Flash Drive with Rufus -> burn ISO to USB (Rufus supports UEFI-Images) -> also no USB-Support
Have contacted the HP-Support -> get Windows Installtion Recovery-media -> have usb-support but a modiefied windows 7 installation with crap HP-bloatware.
I want to install a CLEAN INSTALLATION of Windows on this workstation only. Is that too much to ask for?
have found this Entry in this post

Intel removed USB 2.0 chipset support from the Skylake chipset, therefore normal DVD and USB Windows 7 installs will not work on 6th generation Intel chipsets. You have to add the USB 3.0 drivers into the Windows 7 ISO using this Intel utility;
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25476/Windows-7-USB-3-0-Creator-Utility
After running this utility and directing it to your Windows 7 ISO, you should be able to install Windows.

Unfortunately a patched usb-key is also not working...

Hi:
I see from an illustration of the PC that it has PS/2 mouse and keyboard ports.
You should be able to install W7 if you change the usb keyboard and mouse to PS/2 ones.
That USB creator utility should also have worked, so I don't know what to say about that.
But the post below my reply that was marked as the solution indicates that a PS/2 KB and mouse will also work.
