Laptop inherited from deceased relative. Nothing else known.

Hi:

 

Enter any password 3 times and see if the PC generates a system disabled code.

 

If it generates and 8 digit code, enter it in the box at the link below and the website should generate an unlock code for you to enter after you restart the PC.

If that doesn't work, then you will have to contact HP technical support for assistance.
