c03433255.JPEGPLEASE URGENT HELP, I BOUGHT HP PAVILION 20-a213l ALL IN ONE PC 6 MONTHS AGO, AFTER A MONTH PLUS THE COMPUTER START ON BLANK SCREEN BUT WILL BOOT UP WELL, LCD LIGHT TURN BLANK AT STARTUP(HP LOGO).2 DAYS LATER THE COMPUTER BOOT UP FINE WITH LCD LIGHT TURN ON,  I WENT TO HP WEBSITE TO CHECK FOR BIOS UPDATE http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-20-All-in-One-Desktop-PC-series/5330757/... I FIND NEW VERSION OF UPDATE : sp70168.exe, sp60503.exe, I RUN IT ON MY PC AND THE PC WENT OFF I POWER THE PC ON IT START AND SHUTDOWN IN 4 SECOND. I EXTRACT AND RENAME BIOS FILE  KIN_14.ROM FILE TO HPBIOS.ROM AND COPY TO A USB FLASH DRIVE IT BOOT TO HP LOGO AND STUCK THERE. I TRY THE OLD VERSION BIOS FILE KIN_808.ROM,RENAME TO HPBIOS AND COPY TO FLASH DRIVE AND POWER COMPUTER UP, IT BOOT TO THE HP LOGO AND START UP FIRMWARE UPDATE BUT SHUT DOWN PC AFTER 4 SECOND, I RESTART BUT SAME RESULT. PLEASE HELP ON WHAT TO DO

May the Forums be with you!  I understand that you have had a problem with a BIOS install. I am happy to give you a hand with this.

 

Try the methods in HP Desktop PCs - Recovering the BIOS. If there is no change then please use the following http://www.hp.com/contacthp, fill out the form, create a case for your issue and then use the provided information to contact HP.  

 

Please let me know whether that works for you, and if it does resolve your issue, please mark this post as a solution. Kudos would also be appreciated.

THANK FOR U REPLY BUT NOT WORKING, I TRY WINDOWS + B KEYS NO RESPOND TO BIOS UPDATE.....I FOUND THIS ON MY BOARD BIOS ROM RECOVERY, FDO JUMPER. WHAT ARE THEY USE FOR. IMG_108NEWW8.jpg MY FLASH DRIVE BOOT HPBIOS.ROM BUT STOP ON HP LOGO

Here is the information available from the support page for that motherboard: HP and Compaq Desktop PCs - Motherboard Specifications, Kinmen-U. It does not identify the jumpers or their function, so I would not touch them.

 

Since you had no luck with the BIOS Recovery, then as I previously recommended, please use the followinghttp://www.hp.com/contacthp, fill out the form, create a case for your issue and then use the provided information to contact HP.
