Depending on the exact symptoms of your monitor issue, you might want to check the video cable connection, fix the display resolution, and/or update your display driver. Find details for these steps and other troubleshooting ideas in Display and Touchscreen Troubleshooting.

I dumped my old HP 2159 monitor.  BOTH Microsoft and HP told me they no longer support this monitor and it is no longer compatible with the latest version of Windows 10.   I bought a replacement HP monitor and it works fine.

I also learned that postponing upgrading Win 10 is a bad idea.  After a year of NOT upgrading to use my old monitor I was far out of date. It took a MS technician hours to bet my Win 10 up to current standards.

So this monitor is not worth the trouble. Get a new monitor and upgrade Win 10 every time they ask.
