I bought the PC for graphics OPEN GL 3D modeling. Everything was working fine Out the Box. So I did upgrade and was pulled away from the PC for a like 2-3 months maybe a lil longer.
Finally freed up some time and began to get back to the 3d and now a few of my programs say the GPU isn't working and OpenGL is disabled!!!
The graphics UI that allowed me to tweak the card for 3d performance doesn't appear anymore.
I just get the standard windows configuration
I USED to be able to do an opengl version test and went up to like 4.6 or higher (like I said it was a while ago), That's why I walked away cause the machine passed beyond expectations, now the opengl test CRASHES!!!
After HOURS of trolling the web I think it's a windows 10 upgrade issue. I wish I could roll back to 8.
PLEASE PLEASE HELP ASAP! I have a major project coming up and I have to use a SUB-PAR program to initiate the deal but the finality MUST BE 3D!!!!!!
NattyOH PLEASE HELP!!!

Hi there @NattyOH,
May the Forums be with you! It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel. I understand that you are looking for help with an application that worked prior to some updates. I am happy to give you a hand with this.
Did the function you are asking about ever work for you in Windows 10? If it did you can always try using HP PCs - Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 10, 😎, to roll your system back to a point where you know it was working under Windows 10. Also you could try installing the drivers for your graphics card again from the Software and driver downloads page for the HP Pavilion Desktop - 550-047c (ENERGY STAR).
If the functions you need have never worked for you with Windows 10, do you have any recovery media for your system? If not, you can HP PCs - Obtaining HP Recovery Discs or an HP USB Recovery Drive.
Please let me know whether that works for you, and if it does resolve your issue, please mark this post as a solution. Kudos would also be appreciated.

Malygris1!!! Malygris1!!! Malygris1!!!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! Yup your drivers link DID IT!! You are AWESOME! Even though I had to scratch my head a bit, I figured out the properlink and OH what a great feeling to run the opengl rendering test and SHAZAM!!! IT WORKED!!
Thank you once again. However I've come across another issue. seems like I need more processing power. I have an i5-4460 3.20 Ghz 4 core 12 gigs of ram
I believe the highest RAM I can get is 16? would that make a difference? I've come across some forums that said nomajor shift between 12 & 16
and what is the max processor this MB can hold? should I just overclock the one I have?
I know it's not recommended but ya looking at areal starvin artist here, forget baller on a budget, I'm training to get on the starting line up. . .lol Thanks for your feedback you ROCK!!!
