Pavilion 25BW
Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I have had this monitor for a couple years and a year ago I had the same problem as this gentlemen, it would black out after a few mintues of use unless I unplugged it and plugged it back in.

http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Desktop-Video-Display-and-Touch/HP-Pavilion-25BW-Monitor-Blacks-out/m-p...

I stopped using the monitor and got a new monitor for a while, but kept the Pavilion 25BW around just in case.  Now when I try to conect the monitor at all, the power light does not light up at all, however the light in the back of the monitor near where the power plug is located lights up, indicating to me that the monitor is getting power.  I followed the above steps to make the Pavilion 25 BW work including purchasing a new AC/DC adapter for the monitor, and still no luck.  I was hoping for anyother steps that can help with this.

Thanks

Nic

Hello @NicKoeller,

Welcome to the HP Support Forums! It is a great place to find the help you need, both from other users, HP experts and other support personnel.

I came across your post about the display issue, and wanted to help!  I understand that the monitor seems to be receiving power, but will not turn on.

Have you tried connecting the monitor to a different computer, to test it?  If that does not work, then have a look at this document, to see if there are any steps that you may have missed.  Please post back with the results:

This is not a problem with connecting to a device, rather the monitor is not even turning on.  The power button that is supposed to be orange when not powered up and white when powered up, is not even illuminated.  So the issue is that the power that is being routed to the monitor is not being utiliized by the monitor correctly.  The only solution that I could do on my end besides getting a replacement was purchasing a new power cord for the monitor which I have done, and still does not work.
