The new aio hp print app was downloaded from Apple App Store. It says it's easy to connect just hit start. I've hit it many times screen is "dead". I've downloaded new app multiple times all with no luck. Running ios 10.2.1 latest version

Hi,
Sorry to hear you are still having problems printing.
Try restarting your apple device - It's a simple fix that sometimes helps re-establish the connection to the printer.
Other things to check would be that there have been no recent changes to the wifi password.

Hi,
For the app to work both your printer and ipad will need to be connected to the same wifi network.

Just used the "old" or current HP app on my ipad and printed with no problem. It is on the same wi fi network obviously as the new one and old on the same device, the only variable is how the new app identifies a wi fi system possibly. Also seamlessly downloaded the app on the same wi fi system with my android phone and my iphone seven with no problems. I have had problems with the HP printer in the past as far as wi fi with windows but nothing with my ipad in the past.
is it possible that it simply wont work with something on my ipad? the printed page I got from the hp printer called wireless network test results shows no problems found and shows the same wifi network as my ipad shows. I tried my guest wifi system but it wouldn't work with the app either.

O.K. i took the very complicated process you outlined. I felt like I was talking to a comcast or time warner technician. But guess what I humored you and...........**bleep** if it didn't work. Yours was based more on technical expertise than the former mentioned companies,at least I'm giving you credit for that. I appreciate your taking the time on something so simplistic as an app but guess what,if it doesn't work right it is nearly as important as the printer.
Once again I have been successfully assisted by HP,you guys sometimes frustrate but always come through. Thanks so much.

Hi,
Alternatively, you can connect to the printer using WiFi Direct connection.
This connection type (Wifi Direct) connects your Mobile device/computer Wifi directly to your printer and does not requires Wifi Router and is the preferred way i would use PROVIDED i do not need to continue the connection to the Wifi router network for surfing.
Do also remember to reconnect back to your WIFI router network to get internet connection after printing.
The password to connect to your printer Direct Wifi is either in the front panel display of the printer or you need to print it out by holding the WIFi button for 3 sec. Hope this helps.
Click the 'Kudos Thumbs Up' if this was helpful. Thank You!
(Although I am an HP employee, I am speaking for myself and not for HP) .
