Officejet 6700
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am having huge trouble with my printer - Officejet 6700. It was working fine up to recently when we changed internet provider. since then it prints sporadically but usually when I try to print from my laptop it retures a message "Unable to Communicate with the printer".

I don't know if there is an issue with an IP address. I have tried to connect with a USB cable to the printer but my DESKtop does not detect the USB connection fronm the printer. The printer also does not work with other laptops in the house. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi,

Have you set up the pritner wirelessly for your new router?

From the Setup menu on the printer select Network, there locate the Reset or Restore network option and follow the steps on screen.

Next follow these steps to run the Wireless Setup Wizard:

http://support.hp.com/us-en/product/HP-Officejet-6700-e-All-in-One-Printer-series---H7/4322971/model...

Once you are done, go to the Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right click any instance of the 6700 and select Remove Device.

Next open the HP Officejet 6700 icon from your desktop or under Start > All Programs > HP > HP Officejet 6700 and follow the steps on screen to connect a new printer.

Click the Yes button to reply that the response was helpful or to say thanks.
