I would like to turn my wired printer (Laser Jet Pro MFP M225dn) into wireless. However, I failed to find a compatible wireless printer server on the HP website. I would appreciate your help. I use MacOS, iOS and Windows.

Hello@Applesin,

Thanks for the response.

You can use the second router as a Range extender to the 2nd floor and then connect the printer to the second router.

I recommend you to connect your internet service provider and check if they can help you do the setup.

Hope this helps. Feel free to reply for more.

Hello@Applesin,

Thanks for using the HP Forums. One Stop for all sort of solutions for your HP Products.

I have read your post and understand that you need assistance in your query about doing a wireless setup of the printer. Is that, right? I will be glad to help you.

As per the printer specifications, you can only do a Wired connectivity set up of the printer to any PC.

If not, you will need to do a wired set up to a Router and then share the printer on wireless network in order to use/connect to it through wireless network

This should solve the issue.  Let me know for more solution.

Thanks for your reply. I am aware of that solution however, it doesn't work for me. My printer is far from the place where a modem/router is located. A router is on the 1st floor and a printer is on the 2nd.

Please let me know if there are any other solutions?

Would it be an option to set up the 2nd router as a repeater and place it near the printer so that I could do a wired set up. If I do so, would I be able to share my printer on the wireless network?

Thanks.
