Microsoft Windows 8 (64-bit)

Everything was working fine 2 days ago and then for some reason when i plug my headphones in the sound still comes out of the speakers (aswell as the headphones)

i have beats audio and i have tried turning the multi-streaming off

i cant set my headphones as the default drive (i could before) both speakers and headphones are running through speakers/hp and before they were separate

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the audio drivers

i have also uninstalled the drivers and let windows find the driver when it starts up

ive scanned the driver and changed it to windows default driver

its really annoying me now because i cant seem to find a way to fix it!

thank you in advance for your help 🙂

i went through all of those fixes and im still having problems.

when i ran the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics, it couldnt detect the headphones had been plugged in, the headphones work fine on all my other devices and they were working with my laptop less than a week ago

if you have any more suggestions will be great, and worse comes to worse i will just wipe the laptop 🙂

thank you again 🙂
