Please help me reset BIOS password. I get a dialog box asking "Enter Administrator Password or Power On Password" at startup. After three tries it goes to "System Disabled 52529120". Please assist.

You're very welcome.
There should be a link to order recovery media on your notebook's support and driver page.
Select the operating system it came with, and usually the last item listed is a link to order recovery media.
You posted a model number that doesn't exist, so I can't link you directly to the page.
Here is a guide to find the product number of your notebook.

Actual model is:
HP 15-f024wm Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR)
I couldn't make out the tiny writing until I got a magnifying glass.
I found the page:
But I see no link for downloading or ordering recovery media, only drivers.
Perhaps I'm overlooking it.
Your assistance is and has been appreciated.

Hi:
Your PC came with windows 8.1, so you have to order W8.1 recovery media. HP won't have W10 recovery media.
So you have to change the OS selection to W8.1 and it is the last item on the page.
But I have pasted the direct link to order below...
If your PC had been running W10, you don't even need to order recovery media to reinstall W10, you can use the W10 media creation tool at the link below.

That was the missing link.
I'm trying to repair this machine for someone else, and they told me it was running Windows 10. I didn't know that it shipped with 8.1.
I have plenty of Windows 10 MCT disks lying around, and since Win 10 will rip the product key out of the UEFI BIOS, the digital entitlement should kick in once I dissasemble this thing and replace the hard disk.
And, I should have figured this part out by myself. I feel like an idiot, really. Truly amateur hour on my part.
Thanks for the guidance.
