HP "strongly recommends" F.21 and your issue is the kind of thing a BIOS update may help so I say go for it. Follow directions carefully.

Are you having a problem? There is a very small risk with a BIOS upgrade so my motto is if it ain't broke don't fix it.

BIOS upgrades usually only do something very technical you can't even perceive. They don't make anything run faster so unless you are having something like trouble resuming from hibernation and the BIOS update is said to fix that specific problem no real need to upgrade.
