Elitebook 2570p
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

I cannot get my Elitebook 2570p to boot from the optical drive.Trying to re-install the OS.I enter the BIOS and click on boot options but the optical drive is not among the options.

Is there an upgrade bay listed?

 

That is the optical drive.

 

BTW...did installing the HP Connection manager software I posted yesterday on your other question get the wlan card to show up?

Thanks:) Installing HP Connection manager shows the wi-fi to be disabled in the BIOS F10.I looked in the bios,but can't find anything that needs enabling:*(

Unfortunately, I don't have your model notebook to see what BIOS settings there are.

 

I have an older 6930p and there are settings to enable/disable the wireless and bluetooth adapters.

 

What you could try is resetting the BIOS to its defaults (which should enable the wireless network adapter if it was turned off in the BIOS) and see if that works.

 

Otherwise, perhaps the wlan card is defective.
