My laptop was having 90D (Overheating), so I decided to change thermal paste (Xilence X5). After putting all together, it starts up and has blinking caps lock: 1-----1-----1-----1-----1-----1. Each space is 1 second long and it does that 6 times, restarts and does it again. Please help!

Hello;

Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!

According to this HP diagnostic thread, that blinking means problem in the BIOS -- and to fix that, you would have to reflash it, most likely something that you can not do yourself: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01732674#AbT2

Your PC is also probably well out of warranty, so any HP facility is going to charge you to diagnose the problem and a second time to repair it -- and the combination might easily exceed the cost of replacing the laptop.

Okay, I did the WinKey + B or F2 method and now the computer starts up, CPU fan won't start and no blinks, it just shuts down.
