HP Pavilion dv6810us Entertain

When i turn on my HP Pavilion dv6810us the quick play leds (Stop, Play, FF, etc) blink once and then go out and the computers does nothing.  When plugged in and battery is in the battery charge light is lit.  I THINK the OS is Vista but cannot verify because system does not power up. All tests run with all peripherials removed and nothing but the laptop.

I have tried to remove the battery and power and hold start button for 30 seconds - nothing

I have tried to use battery power only - nothing

I have tried AC power only - nothing

I have reseated the RAM - nothing

I have verified the hard drive is good - chkdsk, sfc .scannow (hard drive removed to test

It's about an 8 or 9 year old laptop from a product line that is notorious for not being very reliable. I don't want to be Mr. Obvious but it looks like maybe she has given up the ghost. Just in time for some unbelievable Black Friday deals from HP.
