My conputer will not charge. The power cord will be plugged into the outlet and conputer, the the computer says "plugged in, not charging". I've tried different outlets, taken the battery out, disconnected both parts of the power cord and put it back together but nothing is working. The computer will only stay on so long as I have the power cord inserted. Thanks for your help!

Could you do battery test from HP support assistant software?

How much old is this battery/notebook?

It indicates that battery has run out of life.
