Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

I turned my HP laptop on and the opening wallpaper appeared like normal with the date and time but when I clicked on the screen the date and time disappear but the wallpaper is still there and the screen is frozen.  I powered the laptop off but within 20-30 seconds it comes back on by its self and the screen is still frozen.  I've done this three times and the same thing happens.  This computer is only six month old, windows 10 and I have not done anything different to it.  Can anybody tell me how to fix this?  tree4

Hi,

Shutdown the notebook.

Tap away at the esc key as you start the notebook to enter the Start-up Menu.  Select the Diagnostic Menu option ( f2 ) and run the tests on the Hard Drive and Memory.

Post back with the results, including any error codes that may be generated.

Can you also post back with the full Model No. and Product No. of your notebook - see Here for a guide on locating this information.

Regards,

DP-K
