Installed the free version of malwarebytes antimalware protection. Scanned & found 53 threats- moved these to quarantine. This crashed the pc, which tries to restart and displays "preparing automatic repair", then displays a windows 10 error message, "your pc ran into a problem... We'll restart it for you. Stop code alternates between: NTFS FILE SYSTEM and FAT FILE SYSTEM.
Did a systems test:
Hard drive short DST check failed
System extensive test failed
Failure ID RLKU3H-7B78PF-MFPV6K-60RT03. Hard drive 1.
Help needed asap

The error code might indicate the hard drive has failed. while that is not likely from a malware, it might just have been the time it gave up. You can always try to reinstall using F10 as the PC is starting. That will start the Recovery Manager and can reinstall Windows 10. If that does not work, then make the Windows 10 reinstall Media from the M$ site - using a working PC

Scroll down to the "Using the tool to create installation media" and follow the directions.
