Unknown administrative password

My computer is locked in the administrator password or power on password. I got this computer for my nephew who use it for about six months and then left it for about six months he forgot the password and I have no clue can anyone help. Is there a way around this screen.

Hi:

Enter any password 3 times and the PC should generate a system disabled (halt) code.

Post the code you get from the PC.

Thank you it worked perfect when I shut off the computer will I have to enter this code again to get it to clear the administrative password again thank you so much.

You're very welcome.

You will have to enter that code every time you boot up the PC and yes, there is some way you can use that code to either change the password or not require a password in the BIOS's security menu.

I don't know exactly how it is done though.

You can see if this works...

You can:

1. Use the unlock code I generated to enter the BIOS

2. Disable all passwords that are enabled in the BIOS's security menu.

3. If asked for current password - type the unlock code

4. For new password, just press ENTER key

5. Repeat the same for verify password column.

Hi im having the same problem I have a hp 15-f272wm windows 10 with the same problem and after 3 tries I get a code sysrm disabled [I  72148844]. Please help:smileysad:
