pavilion dv9700
Microsoft Windows Vista

I have a Pavilion DV9700, service tag dv9925r. When I turn the power on, the power light and the led's across the top flash, I can hear the fan and drive spinning, but the screen stays black and after a second or two the lights go out, but then continue to flash on then off. When on, I can hear the fan running.

What I've tried;

Hooked up external monitor, still no display

Removed and reseated memory and hard drive, no good.

Tried hard reset, no good.

I put in another hard drive just to see if the drive was failing but no difference.

There are no audible beeps at all. It just doesn't seem to be going through post.

Is the laptop dead?

Thanks for the reply, but I have already followed that doc to no avail. I can't get to the UEFI, hitting F2 does nothing, and I can't get to the setup screen, hitting F10 does nothing. Any ideas?
