Hi, before I purchase my new laptop (Hp pavillion 15-ak112nl ) I want to be sure that I can safetly upgrade my ram and add an m.2 ssd without losing my warranty.
I found this in other discussions:
"Opening the back of the laptop is not technically end user authorized but it is also not really difficult. HP will most likely not void the warranty as long as it is done without causing damage."
So can anyone from the hp staff confirm that this information is correct?

Correct. There are no tricky warranty seals. 😉

No one employed by HP will make a statement on that.
It just happens to be known, that as long as it is not obvious, because of damage or non standard components inside, when you have opened the notebook, your warranty won't be affected.
If you ever have to send the notebook in for warranty service it would be wise to put it back in the originsal condition that you received it in. Otherwise you will find upon its return, that extra memory or an upgraded SSD, will not be present.
HP's objective is to return their products to an owner as delivered from the factory when warranty service is complete.
