Hi! I Have a HP Pavillion DV7 700 quad edition with the following specs:
- Processor: Intel Core i7-3820 QM 2.7Ghz
- Graphics: nVidia GeForce GT 650M with GDDR5 memory
- Memory: 8GB RAM
- Display: 17.3” 1920 x 1080 resolution
- OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64
- Storage: 2 x 1TB 5400RPM HD cache 8mb (Toshiba)
- Battery: 9-cell Li-Ion, 62Whr
- Wireless: Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n
- Ports: Ethernet, VGA, HDMI, USB 2.0, Three USB 3.0 ports, headphone and microphone jacks, SDHC media card reader
- Optical Drive: Blu-Ray player / DVD burner
- Dimensions: 16.38” x 10.79” x 1.28” (W x D x H)
I would like to buy a HDD from Seagate ST4000LM016 4TB, 5400 rpm, 128 cache, that is 15mm thin. Will it fit into my laptop?
Also, I would like to ask about other models of HDDs that would be suitable for working with graphics programs, especially Adobe Premiere CS6 and above. I need better, faster rendering and exporting speed. Also the hard drive has to be at least 1TB of capacity, or even better.
Thank you for your replies!

No the 15mm will not fit. You will not be able to get the access cover closed.
You could get a 1 TB full SSD which would satisfy any speed concern you might have, but will cost at or just over $300. The other option is to get a 1 TB 7200 rpm drive with the largest possible read cache. Something like this:
An SSHD, which is a cross or "hybrid" of a mechanical and solid state drive is also an option:
1 TB SSD:
