2 year old HP Pavilion 14 battery won't charge at all

Since last one month, my laptop's battery won't even charge and would turn off as soon as I remove the main supply. Is it normal for a 2 year old laptop battery to die completely?

The battery doesn't sems to be orderable. I see it in the list but there is option to buy it.

To answer your question directly yes, 2 years would be well within the normal life expectancy of a laptop battery. 

Your laptop came with Windows 8.1 so should have UEFI diagnostics. Tap F2 as you power up and search out the component tests and run one on the battery. This will tell us its overall health and more importantly, the number of cycles, which is a bit like the odometer on your car.
