Service manual:

Manual

Your laptop appears to have a 7th gen processor and if so this is the compatible 8 gig module:

8GB 2400 MHz 1.2v SODIMM DDR4 862398-855

A 6th gen would use DDR4-2133 but actually the above module would work on a 6th gen just downclock to 2133 mhz.

The memory is so new it is a little bit hard to find.

HP does not have them in the parts store.

This Crucial module would work:

https://www.amazon.com/Crucial-PC4-19200-SODIMM-260-Pin-CT8G4SFS824A/dp/B01BIWKP58/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF...

I have 2 HP laptops that use DDR4 memory and have used aftermarket (Patriot) memory in them and it runs fine. Does not seem they are finicky about the brand of memory as long as it is DDR4 of the correct speed.
