Pavilion 14z-n200
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Laptop very slow to boot and respond to input. Then after some use locks up and blue screen with message " Tread stuck in device driver".

 

Have very slowly downloaded and installed updated drivers. No help. Have also found info from other sources that a BIOS update can possibly cure problem.

 

However, going to the HP Support page for this BIOS gives me this:

 

"Unable to access the system at this time We’re sorry, but an error has occurred and we are temporarily unable to access the system you are looking for at this time. Please check back shortly."

 

Same thing for the last 3 days.

 

TIA for any ideas as there seems to be no way to contact HP without coming up with $$. Retired and on fixed Income.
