I ordered a part from the HP Spare Parts website Monday July 27th. I wanted to upgrade my HP 15 laptop and give it more memory. The problem is, after placing the order, I realized the part was on "backorder." My concern is that this part may not even be made anymore or something.... but if it is, how long does this usually take to receive a backordered item? It says it will take 3-4 days to ship and my estimated shipment is TOMORROW (7-31-20) and it also says "your order has not shipped yet."

It's really frustrating that there is no one to talk to about this. My money is just sitting in limbo and I'm not sure if  the item even exists or is being made to ship. Not sure if I should just cancel this order and walk away or what. If someone could provide some sort of status on the item or any information on whether the part is even still being made, that would be so great. Thank you HP!

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).

If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
