Hello, @omarrefin – Hope you are well 🙂
Thanks for your continued participation on the HP Forums! I’d like to help!
Going through your post, I see that your old hard drive was failed and you are now having trouble retrieving the encrypted date from the old drive.
Since the hard drive was failed, it might be possible that the data itself is corrupted and is now irretrievable. However, try uninstalling the simplepass program from your old hard drive. Once done, reinstall the simplepass program on the old hard drive and then try accessing the files.
Let me know how that goes!
Good luck 🙂

Hi,
Thanks for try to help me .
I think the problem is more complicated. The maintenance technician told me that he had installed the wrong Frimware on the hard drive. Then the hard became dead when connected to the laptop. In some programs, Hard Drive is read as 1360 GB When it is 500 GB . But does not respond to any process or action.
Is there any way to return the Hard Drive as it was.
Thanks.
