Hi everybody!
I have a HP pavilion DV6-3167CA. The RTC- battery replace part # is 599516-001. Can somebody verify is this a 3V lithium battery from the type CR2032?
Thanks in advance!

Hi,
This is it (can be different brabd):
But, for nearly ALL laptops, they put the battery in a "case", you have to be carefull do not break the case.

Thank you for the prompt reply!
There are many places to buy this battery from, but unfortunately they always give only the HP part # and never the battery type. In fact this is a very common battery (for clocks, flashlights, toys etc.) and yes, one can find it everywhere. On the other hand there are several 3V batteries with the same look and size so I wanted to ensure that the correct # is CR2032 and not CR2025 for example.

Hi Banhien,
My HP-Compaq 8710p RTC partnumber is 450478-001but no longer available in the Philippines, can I buy a repacement like the Maxell type CR2032 discussed in this thread and use the same RTC case, what type of battery (number) should I buy?
My RTC is stil OK but 10 years old now and I expect a problem soon..
Thanks
Frank

Hi,
For laptops, normally vendors put same battery in a "bag". Removing the battery inside would destroy the "bag". The RTC battery on your machine is similar to:
http://www.ebay.com/p/450478-001-HP-8710p-8710w-RTC-Real-Time-Clock-Battery/1900240310
The same battery is in the blue "bag".
