Best MOBO that will fit in this chassis

- Attempting to revive this laptop after the mobo went kaput years ago.

- Rather than put the exact crappy💩 MOBO in, can I purchase one from a higher series that would fit?

- Suggestions 😎

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

After reading your post, I did go through the Product specifications of your product and found that you have a out dated computer model and no more softre drivers aviable for this computer. Hence, investing time and money on this outdate model is adviseable. rather you can spend same cash on a new model which comes with all the benifits. 

NOTE: HP does not recommend upgrading or downgrading hardware parts or software that is bundled with the product as It may affect the manufacturer's warranty and performance, however, you could change the configuration at your own discretion.
