Broadcom 2070 Bluetooth Software and Driver don't work on the Windows 10 V1607 Build 14393.0

I have the Windows 10 Home 64-bit anniversary update(V:1607, Build 14393.0) installed. When I checked the software and driver page for my notebook, Windows 10  does not have drivers listed. This means that HP has not tested it on my model of HP notebook. This does not mean it will not work, only that the outcome is unknown.

The Drivers  available through Windows updates were not enough to let the Borad 2070 Bluetooth be functioned well.

 I tried installing the previous drivers in compatibility mode.

Broadcom Bluetooth Software(Broadcom 2070 Bluetooth 7 Rev. E, sp50180, and 6.5 REV:  M , SP61617) don't work on this version of Windows 10 Home. Aulthough they worked on Windows 7 Home, when I tried  installing it with compatibility mode and selecting Windows 7, I found found this error "Broadcom 2070 Bluetooth Software and Driver doesn't work on the Windows 10 V1607 Build 14393.0". 

On other hand, While Windows 10(V 1511, Build 10586.589) was installed, I have not tried to install Broadcom 2070 Bluetooth Software and Driver  to see if it would be installed or not .

But as long as the Broadcom 2070 Bluetooth Software and Driver  was working well on Windows 7, then why did it not work well on Windows 10 even in the compatibility mode?

In addition,  "WIDCOMM® Bluetooth Windows" you want me to donwload is different than the Bluetooth devices supported in the details below. I have the Broadcom  2070  Bluetooth. In my Bluetooth details, there is no "WIDCOMM" supported as listed below:

As you mentioned that you need to know why did I suggest you to install a different driver than the one in your PC.

The Broadcom website I suggested contains all the Bluetooth drivers for all the PC's  running windows 10.

So it does not list out the driver for one particular model.

But the driver that I suggested should help fix the Bluetooth problem with your laptop.

If the above steps do not work try updating Bluetooth driver for windows 7 using compatibility mode.

1. Place the driver installation file on the Desktop.

2. Right Click the driver installation file and select Properties/Compatibility Tab. Select the appropriate options in from the list in the following image.

3. Click Apply/OK.

I really tried installing the Broadcom 2070 Bluetooth Software and Driver SP50180 and SP61617  for windows 7 using compatibility mode.

However, I was faced with Broadcom 2070 Bluetooth Software and Driver doesn't work on this Version of Windows 10 (V1607 Build 14393.0)

I have not tried installing sp50001-50500 since I don't have them, and I think they are  much older than what I tried.

As you mentioned even after installing the driver you have issues with bluetooth.

Try few steps recommened below.

Click start search for services Services.
Go to Bluetooth Support Service right click and enable or start the service.
Reboot your PC and check if bluetooth works.

Windows drivers for Broadcom Bluetooth devices are no longer posted here. They should be available through Microsoft's Windows Update service. If drivers were not downloaded automatically by Windows Update, use Device Manager to refresh the driver from Windows Update, or contact the device manufacturer.

When I saw that drivers were not downloaded automatically by Windows update, then I used Device Manager to refresh the driver from Windows Update. However, I found The best driver softwre for your device is already installed

The same thing with Microsoft Bluetooth Enumerator

Hello A4Apollo...you may be the man to help me - I hope.

My Windows 10 Elitebook 8470p serial number [edited] is supposed to have Bluetooth, but I can't get it to work. It has a Bluetooth Device (RFCOMM Protocol TDI) shown under Device Manager, but has the yellow triangle with an exclamation mark. The drivers listed under the device are bthenum.sys and rfcomm.sys.

Under Settings there is a "Bluetooth and Other Devices", but no Bluetooth icon. The Troubleshooter returns "Device does not have Bluetooth. Bluetooth is not available on this device. Please try using an external adapter to add Bluetooth capability to this computer."

I am hoping there is a fix.
