I hope someone can help

I have just bought a new HP Pavillion Notebook from PC World in the UKand want to know if Extra RAM can be installed

the model is a 15-au076sa

product number is X7G58EA#ABU.

I have looked underneath and there dosnt seem to be any covesr that can be removed

it say the ram installed is 4GB  Samsung 2133MHz in slot 1

and the system board is 820B 82.29

so i would like to know if i can add more ram, if so, how much and how install it

Your PC will support upto 16GB of RAM, Max.

 

From the Manual :

Memory Two SODIMM slots - customer non-accessible/non-upgradeable

 

DDR4-2133 Dual Channel Support (DDR4-2400 bridge to DDR4–2133)

 

Supports up to 16GB max system memory under below configuration

 

4096MB (4096MB x 1)
6144MB (2048MB x 1 + 4096MB x 1)
8192MB (4096MB x 2)
8192MB (8192MB x 1)
12288MB (8192MB +4096MB)
16384MB (8192MB x 2)

NOTE: Upgrading memory involves remove and replace certain critical parts and doing yourself might be risk.

That's only if the motherboard was assembled properly. I'm currently getting burned on a slot b failure
