no error messages. can't find 111v battery on line. hope 114 v will work if i try it.

The compatible batteries are not 111v or 114v!!

Check your decimal point and always include it.

Only use batteries that are listed as compatible by HP specifically for your laptop

 

There are plenty of batteries for sale by online vendors that are compatible with your laptop.
