I have been in the processing of upgrading  my HP2000 laptop to get it functioning well.  I have been searching and havent found a definitive answer to my question. Can I upgrade the current keyboard to a backlit keyboard? If I can install a backlit keyboard, can anyone please provide me with a part number? Thanks, Ill greatly appreciate any help you be able to offer.

Your machine could be a bit old, information is not available

Keyboard alone won't work, you need a place on mother board to plug those lights, therefore you may have to replace the whole board which is very expensive. I use the following cheap option for my older machines

              USB led lights for laptops

Basically I was looking for info regarding the plug in socket on the board without having to take it apart that far just to see. Thanks for your help!
