HP Wireless Mini Mouse Part# P
Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

Want to give this wireless mouse to a neighborhood kid, but can't get it to work.  Mouse lights up, but USB RF Receiver stopped lighting up once I upgraded her Pavilion dv6 from Win7 Home to Win7 Professional.  Green light on receiver doesn't light up on my Win10 desktop, either.

What do I do now?  HP website doesn't seem to even recognize the existence of it, not even in the archived sections.  It's a nice little mouse for a kid, be a shame to just toss it.

May the Forums be with you!  It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel.  I understand that you are looking for help with a Wireless Mini Mouse.  I am happy to help with this.

Assuming this is the product you are describing, you can find the drivers on this page: HP Black Wireless Laser Mini Mouse, but note that there are not drivers for Windows 8.x or 10.

Also, you may find these documents of help: HP Black Wireless Laser Mini Mouse - DatasheetHP Wireless Laser Mini Mouse - Quick Start Guide

My apologies, Malygris.  I thought I'd listed the model number.  It's a PM099A#ABA.  As far as I can tell, it doesn't even exist for HP anymore.. not even in the archived section.

But I tried the driver you indicated.  Once it's installed, the PC sees the reciever as "Pluralinput mouse 01"... but I still can't get the green light on the RF Receiver to initiate again (it was fine before the upgrade).  The mouse itself lights up as it's supposed to, ready to work..but the PC's cannot see it.

We're on the right track, though.  Anything else you can think of, I'd be glad to try.

Thanks!!

You won't believe this but, moments after I replied to you, I had a brainstorm.

I researched "generic wireless mouse drivers" and, after trial and error, I found Microsoft's  IntelliPoint 8.2 64-bit for Windows 7 (EXE).  Even though I'm running 10, it installed.

The light on the reciever STILL doesn't light up, but the little mouse is working beautifully now!  Using it as I send this.

And I thank you very much for answering me.  It was the catalyst that led me to find the solution.

You're ACES!!
