g6 pavilion 1077ei
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi there I have decided to upgrade my old laptop G6 Pavilion 1077ei i3 core from 3gig ram to 4gig it worked. Now I want take it a bit further by upgrading to 8 gig but when I install the ram it doesn't want to start up but checked I checked the ram and it works in other my other hp Laptop. Is my mother board not supporting the upgrade or am I missing something

Yes, it has 2 slots of RAM and it supports up to 8GB. Please use the Maintenance and Service Guide (the last one) on the  following link:
