pavilion 15 n006ax
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I am using a Pavilion 15-n006ax Notebook PC (ENERGY STAR). I want to upgrade the processor and was following this link but I couldn't find "Processor upgrade information" in my product information page as mentioned there. So is it possible to upgrade my processor?

Hi,

Manual: page 25

Processors are attached to motherboard and is unique to each board.

Cannot be upgraded unfortunately.

Thanks for the quick reply. I aslo suspect the same. The processor is likely to be shouldered with the motherboard but I found some videos showing processor replacements in laptops. the manual however doesnt clearify my doubts. It contains parts catalog with the representing Spare part numbers(in page 25 as mentioned) for various processors and doesn't quite indicate that other processors aren't supported. Thanks again for the response and be sure to correct me if I'm missing something.

MSG lists all the motherboards with specific processor soldered on to it and it can't be upgraded separately.

Thanks again for clearing my doubts. I did some more resarch and found that CPUs with BGA socket like AMD A4-5000 are soldered with the motherboard.

You're welcome!
