I understand that you would like to add more space to install programs and are unsure how to do that. You can attach an external hard drive or insert a memory card for extra storage. Windows 10 allows you to change where your apps are installed. Here is a link from windowscentral.com to guide you through that process. How to install Windows 10 apps to an external drive. It would be the same process for a memory card also.

I finally was able attached an external portable drive to save apps on drive D:, with the help of Microsoft support lady named Maria Lourdes, she was finally able to figure how to update Windows 10 to Version 1607 with only 14GB open on the 32 GB eMMC drive. Here's the procedure:
1. Reset and reinstall windows 10 like when you first got it. Then erase all unneccessary program (non microsoft) to get at least 14 GB space open,
2, go to micrsoft and download Windows 10 Media tools and run it to install new Windows 10 (a higher version), let it run and update and after it starts.
3. Go to Setting->>Storage and you will now see New apps will be save to is now open and you can changed it.
4. Last thing to do is to delete Windows.old files by going to Setting->>Storage->>click on this PC then goporary file and choose old windows fo;der and click delete.
now you have more space.....Hope this helps and your Windows 10 is now Version 1607 (New Anniversary Version).
