Hello Everyone
The cap lock does not function nor does the led light up . It went from working, to working occassionally and now not al all.
Given that passwords often need caps this is quite a problem.
I tired to do a hard restart but the f10 key will not give me access to the bios menu.
I dont have an external key board to attach so can't determine if it's a hardware or software issue.
I am now using the virtual key board which does successfully turn on the cap lock.
So I using the virtual key boad for caps and the normal key board for everything else.
Only a short term solution though.
So is it contact issue with the cap lock key or is it a software issue ??
As it's a business computet having it out of action is a major problem.. anything I can do to solve this.
Any suggestions please.
Many thanks

Hi @Vegimite,
Here is link of how to open the onscreen keyboard to type: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/10762/windows-use-on-screen-keyboard
You may need it if the physical keyboard brings your trouble.
Also, you may contact HP support or a local repair store to arrange a physical check for the caps lock LED issue.

Hi SDJL
I finally got around to trying your suggestions and unfortunalty the cap lock still dose not stay on.
I tried new drivers and apparently there aren't any. I also tried uninstalling the key board and sticky keys.. no luck there either.
Maybe its a mechanical issue with the actual key??
