DV7 4087cl AC adapter plugged in with oem charger that came with computer. Computer does not recognize
chaarger. Tried hard reset and setting bios to defaults. Because computer thinks it is on Battery ATI radeon will not work.
Now sometimes after going into safe mode and then restarting the charger is recognized but only until the nest restart.
Running Windows 7 ultimate 64 bit and the Bios is F29. Any suggestions would greatly be appreciated

Hi,
What is the exact error message you're seeing?
What is the colour of Power LED when you plug in charger - when laptop is switched on and off?
Do HP battery test from HP support assistant software:

No error message at all. Battery Icon in task bar is alway there hover over it say 100% remaining.
power led is green when on red when off.
"Battery is fuctioning correctly but ac adapter is not attached" when in fact it is and green led light is on.
Have done hard reset and returned bios to default.
Thank You
Tom
