Do not understand how to get date of manufacture from serial# .. [Personal Information Removed]. I checked the forum. Still quite confused. Product # is: XU100UT model is 8460w I did discover it has expired warranty as of 2014..

Hi:
Looking at the serial number, your notebook was made in 2011 in the 42nd week of the calendar year as shown in the 142 of the serial number.
The 1 is the last digit of the year (2011) and the 42 is the week of manufacture.
